Physicians Angels are the peak of technology, communications,and patient care. Physicians Angels was born after a long gestation period filled with frustration. Developed in Toledo, Ohio, by a team of doctors, practice managers, computer scientists, telecommunications engineers and medical assistants, the pilot program of this online system actively and remotely managed a medical office. Initial testing revealed startling results: the doctor did not need to know how to use the EMR to run the EMR. The office experienced increased efficiencies and lowered costs.
